Boeing 5K (4) – 2001

November 12, 2001

It was tough to go and run a 5K the day after doing a half marathon, and particularly difficult after running a half marathon and 13.5 more miles of extra distance.

Starting out, I felt fairly stiff and got to the turnaround in about 11 minutes.  I felt better on the way back and was particularly encouraged by a guy ahead of me who craned his neck towards the end – I just “had” to pass him, so I negative splitted with a time of 21:41.
