A bunch of my friends joined me for a local 10K in Lakewood, starting from the Lakewood Mall, and running around the neighborhood (the sheriff’s station is right across the street from the mall).
This race is much different than the other Sheriff’s runs I have done, because it is WAY more organized and has about 5 times as many competitors. I end up running 43:24, which would be good enough for a medal, but NOT at this event.
They also had a bunch of drawings for prizes, and I won a free back-and-neck massage at some Day Spa (I still have the certificate (somewhere); hopefully, they haven’t gone out of business. I tried to use it once, but apparently, they are really busy on Mother’s Day Sunday!)
