Boeing 5K (1) – 2011

January 10, 2011

Typically, I don’t find myself RUNNING a 5K 2 days after doing an ultramarathon.  This is because I want to have sufficient rest and recovery for my muscles.

For the Boeing Runs, every few months it is a prediction run.  So… given that I am not going to run and it is a prediction run, I predicted my time somewhere in the range of 35 minutes.

However, strangely, I felt OK, and so I decided to run a fair bit of it.  I got through the first mile in 7:31, and the second mile in 7:05.  I ended up RUNNING 22:49, and negative splitting by 40 seconds.  Huh.
